A GOOD WEEK

Hello all

I have had a good week this week, as well as doing spansh (which is going slowly) I've decided to do an additional Management course which will help if I want to go into other areas of the lisenced trade It's a distance learning course wich starts when it arrives which should be this week.

some of the customers at the pub have perseuded me to take a salsa class (not sure about that one) but will have to do some form of exercise I'll let you know how I get on lol, Were also staring a quiz night on the 7 th March, luckily i've talked one of the customers to be quiz master i'll supply the quizzes, should be fun, mind judging by my performance in the pub quizzes on Aol I may not be the best candidate lol.

Just as side note the Aol quizzes are  ok if you play them all the time they're so fast and furious I've noticed that a lot of the same ones come up so at times a bit unfair for those who don't play round the clock.

Valentines came and went this year traditionally a quiet night plus football was on, it made me laugh to see quite a few people just having a pub dinner not many had cards or flowers but by 9.30 pm we were quiet, the guys from Fortnums brought me 3 long stemmed Roses whch was very sweet. so for me anaother Valentines bites the dust lol.

Thursday and Friday were very busy especially Friday the time just flew by also we sold a lot of food 75 covers Friday lunchtime everyone seemed happy and they returned Friday night and all got very drunk happily so lol.

Saturday what a georgeous day so warm and sunny walked the long way into town early minus my coat didnt buy much just wandered around got home about 1pm caught up on some e-mails did boring stuff around the house, from 3pm onwards just read and watched dvds for the evening, just finished the Forsythe Saga and staring Mill on the Floss today.

I'll be booking some holiday soon but alas not going anywhere just doing a spring clean, but will be booking my trip to New york in May also this time were hoping to take a couple of days in Boston.

I did watch the skating last night it's a shame I love skating and they hardly show it now it's the same with ballroom dancing oh well.

ANOTHER WEEK GONE BY!

It's been a long week, starting with staff absenses myy assistant in particular due to a virus going around which meant I had two very busy days working alone as it is only the two of us Tuesdays and Wednesdays and of course it was busy, this flue bug seems qwuite nasty thankfully I've been ok.

I arrived home on Thursday at 1.30am to clear roads and no snow got up at 5am still no snow but by the time I left at six we had about 5-6 inches of snow and still falling I got up extra early just in case of delays but in fact we were only twenty mins late into London so not too bad unfortunatley snow does'nt settle in London so no difference there just cold, by the time I got home that night all the snow had cleared.

Lucky kids a lot of schools closed I was never that lucky our school never closed down for anything lol.

We have been very busy at the pub this week things seem to be picking up after the January slump especially busy on food which is good, also this week I had to prepare for an audit on Friday of all days I got into work an 8am the auditor called at 11 to say she was unable to attend another wasted morning and I could have done without getting up at 5.30am.

Had quite a nice Saturday had my hair done also treated myself to a facial don't know if it's done much good but I enjoyed the day I've been going to the same hairdresser for 15 years so we had a good gossip aswell.

Lovely day today it looked like it was going to be really cold out but was surprisingly warm, just had a wander around the town got something in for dinner walked the long way back just to enjoy the nice weather really it's abit cold now though.

For tonight just going to watch telly Foyles War is on tonight which I always enjoy, amd an early night i think up at 5.30am.

Oh by the way 4 weeks since i stopped smoking and have saved £280 it's still a bit touch and go sometimes but i'm pleased with my progress and hopefully will continue, mind you I'm putting on weight at a rate of knots so that will be the next thing to work on.

SUNDAY TELLY

Just a short note I stand corrected Trial and Retribution is great but I only get to see Sunday's episode  as I don't have a video recorder I always miss the concluding episode,  as iI usually work on Monday nights (shame)I'll have to wait until the dvd comes out, never watched Waking the Dead. is it good?

On another note it has turned very cold in the taxi on the way home all cars had quite thick frost on them, and the driver said the roads had been gritted looks like we may be in for another cold spell..

A NEW WEEK

Yesterday was a lovely day very sunny although cold but nice to be out and about, I just had a quick scan around town, then had to head towards London I had to work last night we had a Birthday party booked a late on so got finished about 3.30am, all youngsters very very loud music they all got very drunk (no trouble) my ears are still throbbing LOL. I stayed at a hotel for last night and got the noon train back to Colchester.

I did'nt do too much just had a manicure, and got something in for dinner tonight quick tour of the shops then home, few chores and now just a relaxing evening ahead.

not much on telly so I'll probably watch a dvd have'nt decided what yet mind you I bought the latest adaptation of Bleak House last week so I might watch that.

Still not got quite to grtips with adding tags and stuff onto my page so any help in that direction will be helpful, ok with Technorati.

Well usual tommorrow up at 5.30am  delivery day plus I have a stocktake to do plus at the end of the week we have a pub audit more about later in the week so It's going to be hetic.

MIDWEEK BLUES

I can't believe It's february already where have the last 5 weeks gone, mind the daffodils are out early. It's not been to cold this week and there have been some nice sunny days which will always lift your mood.

There has been much in the papers about these size 00 models /celebrities I wish I could maintain a size 14, it was not that long ago when a bit flesh on your bones meant that you were healthy curvy in fact an ideal woman, Jane Russell Marilyn Monroe, where considered the ideal so what went wrong, so when did the stick insects suddenly come into fashion? and unfortunately young girls now think this is the fashion, no matter what you tell them the anorexic look will always seem more appealing, BRING BACK REAL WOMEN. you know the ones with a couple of natural flaws it's healthier and I think you will be happier.

Well It's been 17 day yay \o/ = £170 I'm doing well it is very hard at times but I seem to be coping quite well.
