CATCHING UP

I'ts been a couple of weeks since I last posted anything, to be honest not much has been happening.

I finshed my online studies for my teaching course  and have my Certificate, so have now applied to do the fulltime course which I'll be doing abroad Spain probably, and just as well I checked my Passport,as it will be out of date soon, so that 'll be another couple of hours wasted a t the post office filling out forms etc.

What else, oh I've been on a healthy eating kick lost almost 20lbs, and still trying to lose that "giving up smoking" weight, but at least my blood pressure has settled down, so feeling healthier in those terms, my back still plays up and some days I'm in agony and can hardly walk I'll have to set up another appointment, and see what they can do, can't really go on like this it takes me 10 minutes to walk to the corner shop considering I only live about 8 doors away.

I also have to look into finding a Cattery for Scarlett and Domino for when I'm away and it's quite expensive, and the won't be happy about it at all..lol, they just about cope when my neighbour has to feed them for a week.

Some good news I have some friends comming over from Sri Lanka next week and were going out for dinner next Wednesday which should be fun, and gets me another invite to visit them, never been to that part of the world maybe next year, as for hoildays this year New York hopefully at the end of May as well as visiting friends in France and Spain oh yes and getting a new job..lol, though it has been nice having all this time off but now I'm a bit bored and need to get my teeth into something.

Sorry to be boring today, but just not been up to much lately oh well it goes like that sometimes.

I did start a new shared journal heres the link:

http://journals.aol.co.uk/cayasm/thejlandkitchen/ so please feel free to add your recipes.

Thats all for now

Your entry is far from boring, you should have my life if you want boring!!!  Your life is so exciting with the travelling and interesting friends..(sigh) I am in the middle of nowhere talking to animals 95% of the time and haven't been out of the area is years!!  So I find your entries to be most exciting.   I bet your cats won't be thrilled with a cattery, they will make you pay for a long time ;)
Congrats on the weight loss, that is wonderful.

I am catching up on journals especially those by people who leave such good comments in mine as you do.  I appreciate your attention.  I think these trips of yours are wonderful opportunities to see and then share with photos and written descriiption. I love that kind of thing.  I am concerned about your back problem and hope with rest it will improve. I didn't realize this certificate would quality you to teach aboard, you say Spain here.  Not long ago I read about the New Zealand writer Janet Frame's adventures abroad, which had such significance in her writing life.  She, too, always had a beloved cat.  She incorporated her travels in her books.  She spent some time in Spain.  You might check nto her writings.  She was a poet, too.  She also spent some time in New York.  She did not marry and had no children, so what she did was travel!  Gerry
