HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY

To all those that celebrate "HAPPY ST PATRICKS DAY", quite a nice day for me for the first time in years I don't have to oraganise a St Pats Party at work, nor find myself swimming in the black stuff(Guiness), and serving up Irish Stew with Soda Bread, oh the joys of no longer being a licensee, saying that it was great fun,during the festivities not so fun when everybody gets hammered(drunk), and no Green Lager..lol.

Saying all that though it was great fun, we used to spend ages doing the pub up in the morning, plus well all used to wear the big hats(on display above) it's anice thing to do and next month we have St Georges Day.

So just a few pictures of a couple of my pubs and a video to get you in the mood from the comfort of your computer screen.

  RIVERDANCE

Have fun all

I'll bet, deep down, you miss it.    St. Paddy's is not celebrated much here in TN but it was in South Florida (where I lived prior to here).  I loved it.  My mother's maiden name was Kelly so I guess it's the Irish in me...lol.

Brilliant entry Yasmin. I remember doing up the place I worked In, when I was running It. Hard work alright! There was always plenty of the big black hats left lying around at the end of the night!! lol Love Pam xx

Nothing better thatn River Dance or Lord of the Dance.  I saw Lord in Vegas and it was soooo good.  The pubs look so festive.  I used to serve for many years and it was so much fun at the time.  :)

I loved the video!  Doug & I went to a Riverdance show a few years ago and I just loved it.  They are so amazing to watch - I would be lying on the floor with oxygen if I attempted to dance like that!!!  Thanks for the great video, I really enjoyed it.  xx

Happy St. Patty's Day a little late, Yasmin!  Love the slideshow.  LOL...wish I had been sitting in a bar drinking the black stuff.  I love Guiness.  Everybody is Irish in Pittsurgh, Pa. where I live on March 17th.  I was under the weather this year...grrr.  Hope you have a lovely Easter!  xx Chris

Hi Yasmin;

Thank you for coming by my journal and leaving such a nice and understanding comment.  I know the topic of my journal is so hard to deal with and for you to sit and read it, well, that was very kind.  I only have about four readers as of now and appreciate each and every one of them.  I hope you post more often too.  I've read a few entries of yours and really enjoyed them.  I'll put you on alerts and come by and be a frequent visitor.  Take care and thank you much again.  I enjoyed having you.
