Goodness it's been about six weeks since I last posted on here, time does certainly fly without realising it, were almost in June the last few months just seem to have disppeared.
Anyway to catch up a little for those of you who remember in my last entry, I had complained of "Back pain" which has been ongoing for well over a year now, to be honest sometimes crippling pain, my doctor seemed unable to come up with any soloutions other than painkillers telling me that I was depressed and offering yet more pills which I declined. Well three weeks ago I went to see the Osteopath, and after careful examination decided that my spine is mis-aligned and was resting on my Siatic nerve, which would explain the pins and needles and swollen right ankle, I can tell you it was a relief to have some kind of answer, and that it was treatable.
Changes are to made not least by spending less time online (yeah right) as my sitting position doesn't help matters, also the treatment so far just manipulation to correct the mis-alignment have helped greatly I'm actually walking fully upright, and able to walk short distances more comfortably, the relif as you can imagine is huge, also doing exercises to strengthen my back (Alexander technique) which I do every day, in time I'm also thinking of taking up Yoga but not quite yet as my lower back and legs are still quite weak, but hey I feel so much better and my mood has lifted considerably.
All going well I shall be able to do my fulltime teaching course, hopefully starting in either July or August, that just fills me with joy not being the kind of person who likes being unproductive.
Other news last week I went on a date the first in a longtime ..lol I was abit worried not really feeling the best, but with a couple of muscle relaxants followed later by a few glasses of wine I felt somewhat invincible and all was well with the world, we had a really nice time going to a local restaurant, and to a music bar afterwards, not that I tripped the light fantastic, but merely managed to sway in my seat which was enough, but that could have been the wine and pills, but who cares I had a nice evening out with good company, we have been talkinga lot on the phone and are meeting next week again woo hoo, Yasmin's getting her groove back..lol and next time I'll be up on that dance floor doing my version of the Fandango.
Sorry it's been so long and will try to be more regular(I mean writing posts).
Everybody be well and take care

Better I am late in my reading than not at all I suppose. So happy to hear you have found a companion you enjoy spending time with. I have read your entries telling of your dancing days in the past so as soon as that back heals I expect you will be hitting the floor! Great news on the teaching course, though I find it hard to believe you would be unproductive at all.
xx

Oh, I am so glad to come here and find you posting and so glad you have gotten some relief for your back pain which can be so disruptive. It does sound like you are on a course to improvement and I am praying it works for you. I lived with Pierre and his back pain for three years and I felt sorry for the poor guy. He finally had to go through his fourth back surgery and second fusion but fortunately the operation was a success, but I hope that you can find less drastic treatment. If what you are doing works, that has got to be the way to go. I am glad your spirits are up. Gerry
